Meet Up Locally is a community membership website which brings together local people with a membership discount club and membership card promoting discounts and savings from outlets that agree to offer discount to our members.

By purchasing a Meet Up Locally Membership Card you are subscribing to 12 months membership of the Meet Up Locally Community Website and the benefits promoted under Meet Up Locally membership club. As a subscriber you get full access to the community website accessed through a local domain for your area to concentrate the content for your region. You can view information from any other areas through the website and look at information in any town across the UK.

As a membership card holder, you will be provided a membership card registered to you and your address. The membership pack comes with a national savings guide entitling you to discounts offered through the Countdown™ promotions and have full access to register with Countdown and use your card for any benefits promoted through their website and direct discounts.

Meet Up Locally will promote the Meet Up Locally Discount Scheme to local venue outlets to negotiate discounts on behalf of our members and provide venue owners with web space where they can promote their venue and discounts to people through our website. Venues offering discount will promote the discount card and display a Discount Card Welcome sign where as you can present your card to obtain direct discount.

Your Membership Card

Your Meet Up Locally Discount Card will be embossed with your membership number, name and expiry date. The card needs to be signed on the back and is non transferrable, meaning that it should be used by you alone.

The membership has three aspects and great benefits. The first is access to the meet up locally community website and the benefits offered through the website in building up contacts with other people in the website community. The second aspect is the Meet Up Locally Membership Discount club which entitles you as the card holder to present your card to participating outlets to obtain a discount. The third benefit to all Meet Up Locally members is full membership to Countdown and all of there discounts for which your membership guide provides full information.

Countdown Logo and Entitlement to membership

The Meet Up Membership Card carries a Countdown (TM) logo on the top right and entitles you to full benefits under the Countdown discounts scheme as well as the discounts promoted by Meet Up Locally. A full colour brochure and regional guide is provided with your membership pack telling you how to register with the Countdown website and obtain their discounts and savings.
As a Meet Up Locally card holder, you will be able to use your membership where ever you see the Countdown logo. This includes outlets, websites and promotions sent through to you from Countdown directly.

Meet Up Discounts Scheme

The Meet Up Locally Discount Card is NOT A CREDIT or DEBIT CARD or GUARENTEE card for any financial services and can not be used as a proof of identity or age. The card is purely a proof of membership to Meet Up Locally Membership Discount system and website.

By presenting the card wherever you see the discounts been offered you are presenting yourself as a member of the Meet Up Locally Discount Club in order to obtain the discount on offer from the venue or outlet.

Meet Up Locally will promote the Meet Up Membership Discount Card to local venues and National chains across the UK to negotiate discounts on behalf of our members. These discounts will be promoted through our website to our members.

Venue owners will have the opportunity to take up their own venue website within the Meet Up Locally community through which they can promote their establishment and promote their discount offers to our members. The discounts are set up and managed by the venue or outlet owners directly. There terms of these discounts are provided by the outlet through their web space and show the Discount logo against their listing in the venue guides within the Meet Up Locally websites.

Annuual Subscription

The Meet Up Locally website provides membership on an annual subscription. This entitles you to all the benefits offered under the Meet Up Locally terms of membership and provides you with your membership pack and discount card for 12 months membership.

We advise that you use the website sensibly and do not share any personal or financial information with any other member through the website to protect you and your identity.

You will be reminded to renew your membership at lease two weeks before the expiry date of your membership card through the website and via email. Where members have paid online and signed up as subscriber with automatic renewal this process will be automated to provide you with a new card before the expiry of the card.

 
Non Tolerance of abusive behaviour

Meet Up Locally has a Non Tolerance of abuse policy. If you experience any form of abusive behaviour from other members through our community website then please inform us immediately.

Any complaint that we receive against a member will be looked into immediately and action taken to look at the information in our systems to review the case and decide on the steps necessary to prevent the problem from continuing.

If we decide that the miss use of our membership services warrant our immediate intervention, then that membership will be suspended without notice. We will then make contact with that member regarding their behaviour and take a decision as to the nature of the complaint. If necessary we will cancel that membership and all the benefits, requesting that the membership card be returned to use with immediate effect.

Cancellation of  Membership Benefits and Refunds Policy

Immediate Notification
If you receive your membership pack and decide that you do not want to be a member of the meet up locally community, then a full refund of membership fees will be available within the first 14 days  will only be provided when we are in receipt of the membership card with a written explanation of why you require a refund. We can not provide a refund unless the membership card is returned to our head office and processed in time.

Immediate Online Cancellation
If you pay online and decide to cancel your membership order before we have processed your membership application, then we will provide a refund on the membership after we receive an email confirmation from your email address detailing all your address details so that we can track down your application details prior to the membership card been created and posted to your address.

Part Membership Refund
If after 14 days you decide to request cancellation of your membership, then a refund will only be available if the card is returned to us with written confirmation. Part refund of membership after 14 days will only be available within the first two months of membership and will be refunded as 50% of the membership fee as the costs have already been incurred in producing the card and membership pack.
